Don’t worry! You can all register for the competition. Inform your event coordinator you’d like to be grouped with your friends. We will work to accommodate your requests.

The team should have no more and no less than 3 team members.

Each team should have a (1) grade 12 student and two (2) grade 10 or 11. If you do not have a complete team, we assist you in filling the spot.


The Global Business Competition is open to three-member teams from anywhere in the world. To take part, you must:

  • Be a high school student
  • Be 16 years of age by June 26, 2022
  • Be proficient in English as the final pitch must be presented in English
  • Commit to attending all 3 days of the event

You will be assigned a group. Teamwork is integral at EHL and you’ll experience it here. Your team will comprise students from other countries, program and/or regions.

This eligibility criteria allows eligibility to take advantage of potential prizes.

No! This program will teach you about the Hospitality industry to then apply the concepts into your Business plan. You’ll learn about the depth and breadth of Hospitality. Come with an open mind!


Your team must submit an Executive Summary via PDF including problem statement, differentiation, operational availability, team profile, etc. by your region's deadline.

Yes, examples of Executive Summaries will be provided in the Agorize platform. Use them as a guideline for creating your Executive Summary. Be sure to adhere to the 2-page limit (not inclusive of the cover page).

Yes, as long as they're readily available to the public and don't require licenses for use.

Anything you submit throughout the competition remains as your intellectual property.

Your team will evaluated on the following criterion: Idea & Concept, Technical Depth & Analysis, Marketing/Project Launch, Feasibility. During the Virtual Global Finale, teams will also be evaluated on Presentation Skills.



Mentoring with EHL student ambassadors start on the first day of the competition (Sept. 18th). A second phase involving EHL alumni will start on the second day (Sept. 25th). The announcement will be made on the second day of the event, the 25th of September 2022.

Top 5 teams will be mentored by an EHL Alumni. You will be provided their contact details via Agorize. It'll then be your responsibility to coordinate a time to meet with your mentor.

Nothing, your mentor will provide guidance on your idea and final presentation at the end of DAY 2.


Teams progressing to the finals will be announced at the conclusion of Day 2.

We will provide a pitching workshop during Day 2. Top 5 teams will receive additional guidance from their Mentors.

There will be no deliverables to submit. Groups will deliver their “pitch” at the finals.

Each team will have the chance to pitch their Hospitality concept in a 10-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A with the jury made up EHL Alumni. Once the jury panel arrives at a consensus, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place winners are announced.

You will be evaluated on Idea & Concept, Technical Depth & Analysis, Marketing/Project Launch, Feasibility, and Presentation Skills.
